A Perfect Day

A perfect day doesn't have to be perfect every moment. It's how I feel at the end of the day, after I put Elias and Micah to bed.

I've a horrible nightmare about our photo session last night after hearing horrible stories from my "mommies of 2 years old twins" friends. Needless to day, I am tired this morning. In addition to the great morning start, I also have a sinus headache. Knowing I'll have a long day with the boys, I decided to take an Ibuprofen. I casually eat something I found on the kitchen counter, and then quickly swallow the pill. Before the medication does its magic, I'm having an upset stomach. I guess I don't have enough food before taking the pill. Thankfully, Preston is off all this week. So I curled up on the couch, attempting to rest, but immediately get set on by two restless monkeys. Preston finally get them to leave me alone. Elias come by to check up on me and pat on my shoulder from time to time. He's so sweet! Micah eventually can't take the "separation" any longer. These are the moments that make an imperfect day perfect.

We eat as a family at lunch and dinner time, which is hard to come by when Preston comes home around their bedtime during the weekdays and busy-errands-running weekends. The boys eat much better when all four of us sit down at the table and eat together. These are the moments that make an imperfect day perfect.

The photo session is short and uneventful, no screaming and no runaway kids, and we do have some cute pictures.

The perfect day wraps up with lots of kisses and a nice story time of Thomas' ABC Book and Where does God live?

These are the moments that make my imperfect day PERFECT :)
